Invitation to Malvern Panalytical Biophysical Characterization Seminars 23-24th May on Novel Drug Discovery & Delivery systems
Seminar TOPIC: Novel Drug Discovery & Delivery systems
Biophysical Characterization Seminar presented by Malvern Panalytical experts
Biophysical characterization of macromolecules is an essential step in the development of new drugs. It contains analysis of the basic properties, e.g. stability and homogeneity, as well as the investigation of interaction between biomolecules and their binding partners, both natural and artificial ones. Malvern Panalytical offers a broad range of instruments suitable for this type of experiments, with several of them installed and available for scientific community in the campus of Masaryk University in Brno or at BIOCEV in Prague (Vestec).
We will show you for the first time UNIQUE Grating-Coupled Interferometry (GCI) technology for evaluation of affinity and binding kinetics with its many advantages over well known Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology. Creoptix application specialist will explain how to get a binding kinetics in hours compared to days with SPR (for more advantages see points below). You will learn how the GCI technology speeds up and complements other technologies such as ITC and DSC microcalorimetry. Other application specialists will explain which complex information you can get from size exclusion chromatography with advanceand detectors, how to test stability, agglomeration behaviour, particle size or loading of drug delivery systems such as viral vectors and lipidic nanoparticles using dynamic light scattering or nanoparticle tracking analyses and many more.
The one day event will be similar for both Prague 23.5. and Brno 24.5. locations except the larger focus on GCI technology and DLS measurements in Prague at the end of the event compared to availability of all the instruments at the Brno location (except GCI technology). There will be chance to discuss with experts your results, research or issues and have a look into software at the end of events.
The seminar will include also coffee breaks and lunch free of charge. We hope you will enjoy the wealth of knowledge we bring to CZ.
